LESSON’S OBJECTIVE
Teach the kids that God chose us and will bless our life
VERSE TO MEMORIZE
"You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble;" (Psalm 32.7)
INTRODUCTION
Start by saying the following: Friends, there are many kids who are afraid of everything. When it's raining and they hear the noise of thunders, they run under the covers and cry of so much fear! Today we will hear a little story about a man who was not afraid of anything and because of that he was chosen by God to do something very special. Let’s pay attention because the story is about to start!
GIDEON
ONCE UPON a time there was a man named Gideon ... Repeat after me! Gi-de-on, that’s it! He was very courageous and he was part of the people of God. Who here is also part of God's people say: Me! Gideon's enemies were very wicked. Do you know what they used to do? They destroyed the whole plantation and Gideon and his people would be left without food. Those people began feeling very afraid of them and would hide in caves (hide your face with your hands). Oh! Poor people, isn’t it?
But Gideon didn’t hide but continued to work without fear. He would reap the wheat and carried it o a high place where the wind blew helping to separate the wheat from the straw. God was very pleased with Gideon and said that he was a brave and courageous man and that he was His chosen one to defeat the enemies.
CONCLUSION
How wonderful! God chose Gideon because he was courageous and was not afraid. Friends, you should never be afraid because God will always be with you and will bless you too. Amen?
