"You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble;" (Psalm 32.7)
Introduction
Start by saying: In today's story we will learn about three friends that, to do the will of God, they had to displease the king. Let’s listen what happened?
Protected friends
There were three men, sons of Israel, who were called to go to the Babylon. They were called Shadrach Meshach and Abednego, what strange names, isn’t it? These three young men were good friends.
Who here has a friend? (Wait for their participation) The three friends loved God and did everything to obey Him.
They worked in the palace of a very important king. But one day the king decided that the people of his kingdom should pray for a false god, and who prayed to the true God would be punished. What do you think the three friends did? (Let them answer) Were they now going to pray to the false god and grieve God? (Wait for their participation).
No, not at all! They didn’t want to do what the king commanded, and the king ordered to punish them in a very bad place. But the true God, who is our Father, took care of those three and didn’t allow any evil thing to happen to them, and then they were freed.
When the king saw that nothing had happened to them, he realized that the living God was with those friends and decided that everyone should also only pray to their true God.
How wonderful! The three friends believed in God until the end and were protected by Him. We must also trust Him; he is our Father a friend that takes care of us.
Whoever loves God very much say amen!
