Hello Dear Supervisors, Leaders and Biblical Educators!!!
As you all know, this Sunday the 13th of May, we are having a Special Event in all UK Branches!
So, we have to make it even more special to the children who will come to our CBC's!!!
Start by creating a very special lesson according to Noah story! Make the visuals, organize yourself, make special snacks, and you can even give a little present for the children to take home!
To give you an idea, Newcastle branch has already everything planned and are working hard for it!
As they do not have the CBC furniture yet, they will decorate the chairs with the CBC colours, they will get a white board to use in the lesson, there will be pictures of the Team of Faith coming from the ceiling, also they made the CBC Rules board to put up, visuals for the lessons are done...!!! And much more!
Up to Saturday latest, I will be posting pictures from Newcastle CBC!
We know that you can be very creative so...lets work!!!
This will be a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to save little souls, if they enjoy their time in the CBC, if they get the Spirit, they will want to come back for sure! And they will bring their parents... We can't let this date pass just anyhow!
Be the Blessing! :)
Lessons 3 for 2nd Week of May
3rd Meeting
Biblical Reference:
Psalms 119.1 and Genesis
6.1-9
Purpose of the meeting:
Teach teenagers that we
are so much happier when we live correctly
Key verse:
“Blessed
are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD!” (Psalms 119.1)
Initiating the meeting:
You
will need a photo of yourself (current) and three copies of the same photo.
Start showing the photo and say: ‘Observe this photo and the copies. The copies
are identical to the photo but they are not original and it doesn’t have the
same value, right? Let’s talk about a man who was just like the others of his
generation but he behaved completely differently which caught the attention of
God. Let’s hear more about this man’.
Edifying message:
Blameless man
All of God’s creations were made by His word. Everything
we see; the sky, the sea, the stars, the birds, everything is fruit of the
Divine Word. However the ACTUAL hands of the Creator formed the human being!
The Spirit of God acted inside the heart
of man guiding his life. But the children of God were seduced by sin and committing
all kinds of wrong things. The situation was not very different from today. Violence,
delinquency, drugs and disobedience prevailed in the hearts of many people.
The bad attitude from mankind made God to
regret creating them: “So the LORD said,
“I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with
them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I
regret that I have made them.” (Genesis 6.7). In that time men lived much
longer, were healthier and lived in a world with all the possibilities to serve
God with love and fear, but they chose to sin and to appreciate the fleeting
pleasures of this life, causing the Creator to repent.
However, within that perverse generation,
God found a blameless man, which the Bible describes as: “…blameless among the
people of his time…” (Genesis 6.9). Even among so much sin and filthiness, Noah
did not allow himself to be contaminated, nor did he get involved with other
peoples wrong ways.
Many
young people say that they cannot serve God because of the “friends” around them.
They are always lured to do what they don’t want to. Let’s imagine Noah, he was
not ONE of those that served God, he was the ONLY ONE!
Out
of an entire generation, there was only one faithful man who feared God. He had
no one to encourage him in faith, no one to give him support through weak
moments but his conviction and certainty in the God which he believed gave him
enough strength to resist each and every temptation.
Maybe
you, teenager, say that it’s not easy to serve Jesus in today’s world where
temptations and influences to get involved in sin are so big. Today you have
the Church, the Bible, radio and TV broadcasting, IURD TV, Bishop Macedo’s
books, the TF Teen, your parents, the TF Advisors…. In other words, you are not
the only one who serves Jesus in this generation, you are not alone! There are
many people praying for you and hoping you stay strong with the Lord Jesus, a
situation totally contrary to what Noah was living.
Conclusion:
Young
people; let’s be like Noah who firmly stood in his belief. He caught the
attention of God when he rejected the life of sin and lived to please God. He
is an example of faith, determination, strength and resistance to everything
that displeases God, a true example of a Son of God, just as we should be.
