CBC Activities from 8th to 14th of July


ACTIVITIES

 AGE 2-3
SUNDAY-Painting. Alan and his father liked to invite people to go to church. Paint the scene. Educator, distribute thick crayons to the class.
MONDAY-Modeling. Distribute modeling clay to the kids and ask them to make Alan from the story. Educator, interact and create with the kids.
WEDNESDAY-Coloring. We should feel happiness by speaking of Jesus.

 AGE 4-7
SUNDAY-Organizing the story. Paint, cut and glue in correct order the scenes from today’s story.
MONDAY-Theater time. Educator, if possible prepare a snack for the class or take candy to the class. Start this moment dividing your class in four groups and ask them to stage according to the story. You can suggest stages that represent people evangelizing at hospitals, at the church door, etc. Each group will have few minutes to get organized and stage. Ask the groups to pay attention on the stage of their colleagues. At the end, congratulate everyone, comment about the stages and distribute the snack or candy.
TUESDAY-Learning with the Team of Faith. God is praised when we speak of Him. Paint the scene pretty well.
WEDNESDAY-Which way? God is praised when we speak of Him and Mr. John was always evangelizing. Pain the path which leads him to the church. THURSDAY-Free drawing.
FRIDAY-Drawing the verse. Write the verse of the week on a board or a cardboard. Read it to the class, ask them what they understood and then explain it. Distribute office papers and ask the kids to draw something related to the verse.
SATURDAY-Completing the mission. Take to the class some balloons (double the number of kids) and fill up all of them before class. Educator, form pairs with the kids and put the balloons at the end of the class. Write the name of the pairs and say: the pairs have the mission of getting the balloon and bring it to me (educator, stay in front of the class). To each balloon delivered I will mark one point to the pair. However, the pairs cannot touch the balloons. You should put it on your face, your front, etc., you will have to bring it without putting your hands ok? At the end of the game explain: Little friends, just as in this game you had the mission of bringing the balloons to me, so we have the mission of talking about Jesus to people, the same Mr. John of the story did.

AGE 8-10
SUNDAY-Comics. Draw inside the squares below parts of today’s story.
MONDAY-Completing the sentence. Put the children seated in a circle, sit in the circle as well. Explain that you will start a sentence and they should complete it. Start by saying: Today we learned that God is praised when we talk about Him to our neighbor. Now we will make a game. I will talk about Jesus in USA. Explain that the kid beside you will continue the sentence adding the name of
another country, for example: I will talk about Jesus in USA and Japan. Who make mistakes leaves the circle and keep an eye on the other kids. Continue until there is only one kid left.
TUESDAY-Remembering the lesson. Mark an X at the scene referring to Dewey wanting to be an evangelist; then paint.
WEDNESDAY-Scrambled letters. 1) The words below are written backwards. Rewrite them and discover the message. 2) Explain what you understood from the messageabove.
THURSDAY-What is the letter? For this activity you can use the board or a cardboard. Draw on it 76 squares, one to each letter of the verse of the week: “I will sing of the LORD’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known…” ; the squares of the same word should be together. Split the group (by line) and determinate the order of participation of the groups. Start asking a kid from the first group to say a letter. If the letter is correct, write it in the correspondent space. Continue the game in order. Educator, to each round, choose a new representative to the groups. The group wins one point to each letter. The group which makes more points wins. End the game memorizing and explaining the verse.
