Here we have a easy way to make a beautiful throne for Solomon to be crowned has a King: Pay attention to this step by step instruction:
The materials that we used was a small box of milk, office paper, red velvet paper, white glue, black colouring pencil, gold pen and scissors.

Take the box, cut off the top and 2 stripes on the side:

Fold and glue has below:

Snip the top of the back of the throne to make it rounded:

Glue 3 stripes of white paper on the seat and on the sides:

Finish to line the throne with the white paper and white glue, draw the top edge of the throne:

Then make the seat with the red Velvet paper and it's ready!

Now to make the King Solomon you need 3 foam sheets, 1 heavenly blue,1 skin colour and 1 brown, a black pen, scissors, hot glue, gold foil and red sequins.

Now look at him...so cute already sited  on his thrown waiting for the story!
Don't forget the King Solomon can have a different colour for his cloths or you can decorate the throw different using your imagination but it has to be very beautiful, unforgettable for the curious eyes of our children.

MAIN CHARACTER OF THE STORY: SOLOMON

Hello dear biblical educators!
This is a very special post: The Main Character of the Story!
During this month we will be talking about Solomon and we'll be using this resource many times...
So lets give it a special treat!

Find the models bellow, it was made with foam sheets and a little piece of red fabric... but like always use your imagination and use colorful papers that you may have if you can't do it with foam sheets! Let's start!!!

Here we make Solomon with hot glue and his hair with Velcro faced up to stick on his crown...

We also made a cape with red fabric.
Behind the resource, we strengthened with cardboard and a support to place the hand to tell the story.

Look the resource is ready for yet one more story time.

This resource is to be made by every CBC but we challenge FINSBURY PARK to show us yours, you have till Sunday the  9th to share with us, it will be posted here on the blog so take pictures or make a video showing how you did it. We want to see your talent!

CBC Activity from 2nd to 8th of September

I'm like King Solomon

This idea is very practical, beautiful and easy.
Just plan and practice.

You can use cardboard or another kind of hard paper, cut out  a crown and write: "I'm like King Solomon", this way each child leaves CBC bringing this faith home.

You can use different styles of crowns to make it more beautiful.

CBC Lesson from 2nd to 8th of September

BIBLICAL REFERENCE
1 King 1.32

PURPOSE OF THE LESSON
Make the kids understand that the secret to victory is to obey God.

VERSE TO MEMORIZE
O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes! (Psalms 119.5)

INTRODUCTION
Make a wreath with cardboard and laminated paper and bring to the lesson. Start the lesson by saying, "Today, we'll play 'To Crown a King.'' First we must choose who will be our king. He must be an example to his subjects, have a good conduct, love for his people, be kind to the weak, etc.
''Let’s choose three candidates for the throne.'' Choose three candidates and let the children vote which of the three should be the king.
You can do this by asking them to raise their hands while you are calling the names of the candidates. After choosing the king, ask the kids to sit down and say to them that: "Now that we have already played, I want to say something. There was a time when the people of Israel were led by kings. The first was Saul, then David, then ... well, after David came another successor. Do you want to know who he was? Then pay attention.

SOLOMON RECEIVES ANOINTMENT
WHEN KING David was an old man, on his late days, he decided to choose one of his sons to reign in his place. He chose Solomon, his youngest son. David loved him very much and trusted him; he was a very obedient child. He knew that Solomon was still very young, but he was best-fitted to be king of Israel, fearing and serving God faithfully. Therefore, kids you should always obey your father and mother, and be faithful to God. All parents love their children and they always want the best for them, but at the time of giving the best gift they remember the
most obedient child, that’s what brings more happiness to them.
David wanted Solomon to turn into a king in front of everyone, with a ceremony, anointing, party and everything. He asked the priest Zadoque, the prophet Nathan, and Benaiah to present themselves to him, guide and show him how Solomon’s heart should be . They stood before the king, who said: "Take all my servants, take them with you, my son Solomon must ride on my mule and take them to Gihon. Arriving there, you shall anoint him king over Israel, then play the trumpet and say: "Long live King Solomon!". Afterwards let him sit on my throne, as he will be the king.''
They did just as King David had requested. The priest Zadoque anointed Solomon with oil, trumpets played, and all the people shouted: "Long live King Solomon!" Then they went to Solomon playing the bagpipes, dancing and cheering. David was very happy and thanked God for giving him the opportunity to see his son seated on the throne, and have done what God had promised, "Never a successor is missing at the house of David and the throne of Israel”.

CONCLUSION
Do you know why God gave this to David, kids? Because he was faithful to God throughout his life. This was God's agreement with David. The Word of God alone can accomplish in our lives when we do our part by obeying His commandments and remain faithful to succeed in all: "Be faithful to God and keep His commandments." And if we want to be victorious, we must do the same.

Topic of the Month: September

 Topic of the Month: Solomon

The Educator Magazine of this month tells the story of King Solomon, the wisest man in the world known.
Solomon called God’s attention when he made a request. He asked God for wisdom to lead the people of Israel, that was what he received, despite wisdom, he also received intelligence, glory and riches.
Therefore, educators devote in this ministry and be a valuable tool for God’s purpose, who are making the future men and women of God at the service of King Jesus for the rest of their lives. Solomon built the Temple of God, and today you’re big builders of this temple, which is formed for each of the little kids.
“Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.” (Psalms 91.14).
