INTRODUCTION
Take
to class the picture of a trumpet or a trumpet which will be used during story
time. Educator, start this moment by asking: Who here ever needed to wait
several days to receive a gift? (Wait participation of your class) When your
mother says she is going to give you a gift, you keep waiting but want to
receive it soon, right? On today’s story we will hear about two men who
believed in the promises of God and received the gift the Lord has promised for
them. Let us find out what this gift was? Then be quiet, it is about to start!
PERSEVERING IN
GOD’S WILL
THE
PEOPLE of God lived for so long as slaves in Egypt, but God
sent Moses to deliver them and promised He would give them a good land to live.
Moses chose twelve men to watch the Promise Land, and after forty days they
came back. Ten of the watchers told Moses that the land was very good to live
in, but many giants were living in that place, and because of that they should
not move to there. However, two spies, Joshua and Caleb, thought differently
and did not agree with that complaint. Caleb made them shut up and said they
would conquer that land for that was a promise from God.
Class, time has passed, Moses got old and died, and Joshua got his place. Years passed by and those ten men and all the people who had doubts died too. Children, to get to the land promised by God they had to pass through that city. God told Joshua and the people to march six days around the city and on the seventh day, to play the trumpets and to yell out loud, and He would make a great miracle. They obeyed and do you know what happened? The big wall fell down and the enemies were destroyed.

Little friends, it had passed
over forty years and Caleb had not forgotten the promise God had made for him.
They conquered the land of Canaan, and Joshua divided the land among the
Israelites. You know, kids, at that moment Caleb remembered Joshua that he also
had the right to receive a part of that land and asked the land of Hebron.
Little friends, even with 85 five years, Caleb was ready to face and defeat the
giants of that place and willing to fight for it.
The army of the tribe of Judah
helped Caleb and they defeated the giants, expelling them off that land, and
Caleb took over the blessing.
CONCLUSION
When we remain in faith and do the will of God, we are
answered and we receive the blessings we need, as happened with Joshua and
Caleb who did the will of God and remained steady, even after so many years.
Who here will persist say “me”! Amen!
FUN
CHAT
Educator,
you take to class the picture of a house under construction (easy to find in
websites) and the picture of a built house. Start this moment by saying the
following: Children, see this picture (show the house under construction). This
is the beginning of a house. Now see this picture (show the picture of a built
house). This house is ready, right? To build a house several things are
necessary: the land where it will be built, the material for the building, the
professionals who will make this work, etc. You do not build a house in a day,
right?
So it
is in our lives, for to reach what we want we should fight, make an effort
every day. You know, kids, when we persevere and make the will of God we
receive the blessings. Joshua and Caleb persevered, obeyed God, they were not
afraid and got into the Promise Land. Who here wish to be like them say “I”.
Amen!
