CBC 21 Days part2 of Daniel's Fasting

Our main aim for this new Campaign of the 21 days of Daniel's fasting is to have many testimonies of children and teens!

From day 1 of August to 21 the CBC will also live the same faith in the Daniel's Fastpraying three times a day, and be totally off of what is bad for the faith, also always when possible for the children to be off from musics of this world, TV and Internet. We may advice them to have their spare time substitute for things that will feed their faith and their intelligence studding more, applying themselves to be better and excel in their studies, or learn new things on the computer such as Word, Excel or Power point, read a book or things as such. But always to be connected with God praying in our minds, asking God's directions and wisdom to excel, and to come upon us!

Also for this purposes along with the prayers reading the word of God.

We will teach to the children and to the teens that God has entrusted to us this marvelous path to be close to God and seek Him wherever they are not only in church.

God bless you all!

What it's expected from us in these 21 days!

The images speak for itself what is expected from us in these 21 days!
To take the children to seek the Holy Spirit wholehearted!

INTRODUCTION

Has anyone here ever been chosen to do something special that you were not expecting to? (Give them time to answer and talk about their experiences). It’s a huge surprise, isn’t it? Sometimes we feel afraid thinking that we won’t be able to do what we were asked to. Something like that happened in today’s story. Do you want to know what it was? Let’s all pay attention so we may understand today’s story.

GIDEON’S CALL

WE ALREADY learned that sin separates us from God and that we become an easy target for the enemy. There was a time that the people of Israel sinned against God, and because of that, they began to suffer in the hands of the Midianites, They were innumerous!
They destroyed everything that the people of Israel planted leaving them without food.

Because of this, the Israelites began to hide in caves. They lived in great fear and no longer harvested, they couldn’t because every time they tried, the enemies would came and take everything. So much suffering, isn’t it? Tired of so much suffering, they decided to cry out to God for help.

Amongst the people, there was a man named Gideon, a young, brave and courageous man. One day he was cleaning the wheat, when an angel appeared to him and said: "The Lord is with you, brave man." God saw how brave he was because while the others were hiding, there he was cleaning the wheat. The Angel commanded Gideon to use his strength and courage to free the people from that suffering, for God was with him.

Do you know who that Angel was? That Angel was the Lord Jesus. God sent Him to speak to Gideon that he was the chosen one to deliver His people from that suffering. Gideon was surprised, because his family was the poorest in Israel, and he was the youngest of his house. How could that be possible? Yes, for God nothing is impossible. God went on saying that He was with him and that he was on his side and, because of that; he would defeat the Midianites as if they were a single man.

At that moment, God was teaching Gideon that the most important was not his strength but to have God by his side.

CONCLUSION

We cannot do great things by ourselves. But with God's help, we can do everything and overcome even the biggest problems in our lives. It does not matter if you are tiny or big, or if your parents don’t have much, what really matters is your faith in God. Put all your trust in Him, and believe that He chose you just as He did Gideon, and He now sent us to tell you this too. Know that you are very important to God, and He could do great things through you.

FUN CHAT

Take to the classroom an illustration or a picture of firefighters, police officers and soldiers. Make a poster with those pictures. Start saying the following: Let’s say that there is a fire in a certain place, which one of these professionals should be called? (Wait for them to answer and show the poster). The firefighters, right? And when are the police officers called? (Show the poster and wait their participation). When there is a robbery, confusion, fights or when someone doesn’t comply with the law, the police officers are called to resolve the situation. Now, when there is war, the soldiers go into action to ensure the safety of the country or state (show the poster).

All these professionals (show the poster) must have a lot of courage to do what their job requires them to do, because to do what they need to do requires courage, right?

Children, today we have learned about Gideon, a man that, because of his courage, was chosen by God to lead His army. God counts on people of faith, courage and people who trust Him wholeheartedly, amen? That’s why you must not fear. If you are experiencing problems inside your house, at school or with your friends don’t be sad, because with God we are more than conquerors!

Educator, pray with the class and then play a game to memorize the verse of the week.

GIDEON’S CALL

THERE WAS a time when the people of Israel were doing a lot of wrong things and with it they displeased God, and because of that, many bad things started happening to them. The Midianites, enemies of the people of God, pursued them and destroyed everything they planted, leaving them without any food. Terrified, the people of Israel started hiding in caves. Even to go out and clean the wheat could not be done because they would destroy everything. Tired of this situation, the people cried out to God. But there was a brave man called Gideon.
One day, he was cleaning wheat when an Angel appeared to him and said: “The LORD is with you, brave man”. God saw courage in Gideon, because while everyone was afraid and hiding, he was working, separating his wheat. The Angel told Gideon that God was with him and that he should use his courage and faith to free the people from that suffering.
Can you guess who that angel was, children? That Angel was the Lord Jesus Himself. God sent Him to tell Gideon that he had been chosen to defeat the Midianites.
Gideon’s family was the poorest in Israel, and he was the smallest of his household. But God didn’t care about it, because He was seeking a brave man and that man was Gideon. God told Gideon that He was with him and, because of that, he would defeat the enemies, for the most important thing was not his strength or how important he was but the fact that God was on his side..

CONCLUSION

Children, it doesn’t matter your size or if your parents don’t have much money, what really matters is your faith in God. Trust Him and have the assurance that God has chosen you as well as Gideon. Know that you are very important to God and that He wants to perform many miracles in your life. Have faith, amen?

Who here is also part of God's people say: Me! Gideon's enemies were very wicked. Do you know what they used to do? Poor people, isn’t it?

But Gideon didn’t hide but continued to work without fear. He would reap the wheat and carried it o a high place where the wind blew helping to separate the wheat from the straw. God was very pleased with Gideon and said that he was a brave and courageous man and that he was His chosen one to defeat the enemies.
