Obeying God’s voice and receiving His promise

Obeying God’s voice and receiving His promise

For a very long time, the people of God lived as slaves in Egypt, but God sent Moses to
release them and promised that He would give a good land to live. Moses chose twelve men to watch the Promised Land, and after forty days they returned. Ten of these guards said to Moses that the land was very good to live in, but many giants lived in that place, and so
they should not move there. But two spies, Joshua and Caleb, thought differently, and did not agree with those complaints. Caleb caused them to be quiet and said that they could
conquer the land because it was a promise from God.

Kids, time passed, Moses became old and died, and Joshua took his place as the leader. The years passed and those ten men, and all the people who doubted, also died.

But Joshua and Caleb continued trusting and doing the will of God.
Joshua and all the people crossed the Jordan River and came close to a city that had
a very high wall. This town was called Jericho. Children, for them to get to the land promised by God, they had to go through that town. God told Joshua and the people to march six
days around the city and on the seventh day, to march seven times and at the same time to blow the trumpets and scream loud, that He would make a great miracle. They obeyed and you know what happened? The very large wall fell and the enemies were destroyed.

Likewise, when we obey God, even when it seems impossible for the problem to be solved, for you to be healed, get good grades at school, for the bullying you are facing to end, remember that God will make come true all that you asked Him if only you are courageous  to obey and do His will.

A big hug to all CBC friends!
