The Globe for the Prayer for the Nations

This is an idea to help with the lesson which the grandpa taught his grandson…
And we can use the Globe to pray for the Nations.

Please, see bellow a nice scenery of a cute living room where the grandpa is teaching
his grandson (the sofa could be made with empty boxes of matches and the plasma TV from chewing gum cartons)

Blessed is the Nation whose God is the Lord!
Let us pray so the gospel spreads out in the
whole world!

Lessons for the 30th of October to 05th of October

Class: 2-3 year olds

BIBLE REFERENCE
Psalms 33.12

LESSON’S OBJECTIVE
To teach the children that only when we love and obey God, can we be truly happy.

VERSE TO MEMORIZE
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD…    Psalms 33.12)

INTRODUCTION
Educator, take to the classroom the UK’s flag (or a picture) and flags from other countries too. Start by asking: Do you know where this flag is from? (Wait for their participation.) This is the flag of the country we are in, the flag of (state the country’s name). The colors of our flag are: (tell the colors, and point to them according to the flag and ask the kids to repeat with you). In today's story we will learn about a child who loved his flag.

STORY
BRIAN was a very intelligent boy who also loved to play. He played football and loved to score goals too (pretend you are kicking a ball). Brian liked to swim (make the gesture), jump and play lots of other games.
But what Brian liked most was to play with his flags. He had flags from different countries (show the flags). But the flag that Brian liked the most was the English one and do you know why? Because despite been the flag of his country he liked its colors too (show again the flag).
One day Brian's mother taught him that the country and the place where people love and obey God is the most blessed country and that people there are truly happy. Who here loves the Lord Jesus raise your hand?

CONCLUSION
Little friends, when we are with Jesus, then we are happy people. He is our friend, who gives us happiness and makes us feel protected and safe. Many bad things happen in some countries because people are not friends with God and do wrong things, so we must be obedient and love God ... Amen?

ACTIVITIES
SUNDAY
Cutting. Take to the classroom papers that are easy to rip like foil,
paper crepe, sheets from magazines, newspapers,
wrapping paper, etc.
Rip the papers in smaller sizes, place them on a table so that
children can choose and take their places. Ask them to cut the paper with their fingers. Give out plain sheets of paper and ask them to draw with crayons, the story and then glue the pieces of paper (the above) into
the drawing. Encourage them to help one another
reminding them of what they have learned.

WEDNESDAY
Dancing with the flag. Educator, you will need a flag from your country (may be on a small paper or a real one, without the mast), radio and a CD with music for the children. Make a circle with the children and give each one a flag in the hands. Start by saying: Today we learned that people who love God are happier than those who don’t. Now let's dance joyfully for Jesus?
While we're dancing, this flag should go from one hand to the other when the music stops playing, the one who is holding the flag gets off the circle and will help me watch the game carry on. Make sure they understand the rules of the game. Ask the biblical educator assistant to play the music and to stop it suddenly. Encourage children to dance and continue until only one child remains.

Psalms 33.12

LESSON’S OBJECTIVE
To teach the children that only when we love and obey God, can we be truly happy.

VERSE TO MEMORIZE
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD…    Psalms 33.12)

INTRODUCTION
Start by saying the following: "Children, do you know what a nation is? (Wait for their participation.) A Nation (country) is a group of people living in the same place, speaking the same language, having the same habits and obeying the same laws. Each nation has leaders and beliefs. In some countries people use faith in the wrong way and end up contradicting the Word of God. Today we will learn about what makes people from one country to truly be happy.

STORY
KEVIN loved listening to this grandfather’s stories about faraway countries. He taught him about how some live etc. One day they were talking about Israel's wars. Kevin had learned that the Israeli nation was God's chosen and that He wanted to make them a strong nation, blessed, wealthy and peaceful. But unfortunately the people there did not believe that Jesus came into the world to be the Savior of mankind, because of this there are a lot of wars in Israel. At the end of the story, the boy asked:
Grandpa ... What should people do to be happy?
“Kevin, people should love God first, because in His Word is written," Blessed is the nation whose God is the lord ". The country where people seek God will always be blessed, and all will live happily”, said his grandfather.
The boy then realized that people who seek God have peace within themselves, and live in peace with those around them. Just as it happened in King Solomon’s kingdom. He asked the divine wisdom so he could take care for his people. Kevin learned that he should be faithful to Jesus, to serve Him with joy and talk about Him to his friends too.

CONCLUSION
Children, when we have Jesus in our hearts we are happy. The real joy comes from God and the His world. The only truly happy people are those who have God as their Lord. Who here loves God say amen!

FUN CHAT
Educator, search on the web sites or magazine, pictures of various flags, (small) and print a sufficient amount for the whole class. Cut them and put blue tack on the back of each flag. Also bring to the classroom two polyethylene balls (200mm) and a CD player with children's gospel music.
In one of the balls, make a happy face and write on it: People with God. On the other make a sad face and write: People without God. Prepare everything before the class begins and make sure all is ready!
Start by giving out the flags and say: Do you know what you are holding? (Wait for their participation). These are flags from some countries, and now we are going to play with them. Can you see these balls? They represent people with God and people without God. (Show the writing and get two children to hold one ball each). While the music plays you will hold the balls and you will pass it on to the next person close to you and whoever is holding the ball when the music stops, is eliminated. Got it?
Educator, play the CD and start the activity. When all the flags are glued on the balls; slowly remove the pictures and say: Are you seeing the picture of this ball? (Show the sad face). Can you see the flags on the ball? Well, these represent People without God (read what is written), that is, they are sad, because they live in the wrong way, far away from God and because of that they are full of problems and unhappy. But when the people of these countries (show flags on the ball) seek God (Read what is written behind the ball), then people live (Show the face of the part of below) happily, because they have God as their Lord. Therefore, children, we must have God as our Lord. Who here loves God say amen!

ACTIVITIES
SUNDAY
Coloring and learning. We learned that ". Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD ". Draw your flag and color it nicely.

WEDNESDAY
Looking for the letter. Educator, bring to the classroom magazines, newspapers and leaflets from shops. Bring A4 plain paper, blunt scissors and glue. Divide the class into trios and distribute the material between them. Start by saying the following: Children, we learned today that the country where they have God as they Lord, are very happy. Now, let’s look for the letter H (Happy) amongst all the papers, magazines you have in front of you.
Answer. Educator, write on pieces of paper some questions based on today’s story and then place them in a basket. Also bring to the classroom a CD player. Play the music, sort the children in a circle and have them scrolling through, the basket. The teacher assistant must (suddenly) stop the music. The child who is holding the basket when the music stops, should get a paper and answer the question.

Class: 2-3 year olds

BIBLICAL REFERENCE
Proverbs 12.10

LESSON’S OBJECTIVE
Teach the kids that we have to take care of the animals.

VERSE TO MEMORIZE
A righteous man regards the life of his animal... (Proverbs 3.6)

INTRODUCTION
Take to the classroom illustrations of ants and an elephant (to be used in the conclusion). Educator, search the Internet for pictures of animals and pictures of animals playing with their owners. Start by saying: You see these animals? (Show the illustrations). See how the animals play with their owners. Did you know that God created the animals and that we should take care of them? Today we are going to hear the story of a boy who really loved animals.

STORY
JOHNNY Loved taking care of animals. Who here has a pet? Raise your hand. It is fun to have one isn’t it? Johnny knew that. He had a little fish also and took care of it really well. He walked his dog and played with his cat too. Johnny lived close to a boy that used to be mistreat his own dog... (show a sad face).
One day, the boy’s dog escaped and came to Johnny’s door. He took the animal inside his home and took care of him. The other boy was searching for his lost dog. He looked everywhere until he saw Johnny walking his dog (put your hand on your forehead and make gestures as if you were looking for something far away). Then he said: This animal is mine! (Make an angry face) Do you know what Johnny said? Stop mistreating your dog! Did you know that the Lord Jesus is sad with those who do evil things to animals?

CONCLUSION
Little friends, God created all living things and He loves every animal, from small, like ants (show the picture) to the big ones like an elephant (show the picture). Good people take care for their animals, but the evil ones mistreat their animals. And we cannot be like that ... Do you all understand?

ACTIVITIES
SUNDAY
Telling the story. Educator, ask the children to sit in a circle and tell them: Today we learned that we must be kind to animals. Who here has a pet? Raise your hand; I'll pick some of you to talk about your pets. Educator, ask the name, what kind of animal it is, what it likes to eat etc. The children will want to talk and tell stories, let them express themselves and give the opportunity for everyone to speak. At the end tell them that Jesus is pleased when they take care of their animals.

WEDNESDAY
Imitating the animals. Take to the classroom pictures of
animals: dog, cat, horse, frog, kangaroo, bird, chicken,
monkey etc (you can use the
same as in the introduction). Place the illustrations in the
decorated shoe box and start talking about what was taught in the story.
Ask a child to grab a picture and to name the animals. Then
get the class to imitate the animal. Continue until you finish
all the illustrations.
