What to do in the 21 Days?

Dear Educator,
Our obedience is what pleases God, so let us obey and lead the children to follow God's direction too!

21 Days Fast of Daniel - Week from 29/09 to 05/10

Dear Educator,

This week we are going to talk about Joseph, how he trusted God even when he was sold as a slave to Egypt by his brothers and there he was put into prison by Potiphar, his master, but in all this trouble he never forgot to trust God that would come out of this situation.
Joseph was obedient to the word of God, and never denied his faith on Him, so children when go through a bad moment in school or with your friends that you want to lie instead telling the truth or being angry or misbehaving you should pray to God and trust Him that He will help you.

Visual Resources:

Here is today's suggestion: how about doing a panel in the classroom for children mark their participation in Fasting?
Below are some of examples of little dolls, which may be used in the panel or Board as you prefer for each child that is participating in the Fast make his little face, as a way of saying "I'm also participating the Fast of Daniel! "
Can be made with foam paper, colored paper, cardboard, finally, just use your creativity!! Its going to be a fun activity for us to do this Sunday 29th, as the children can help prepare their own dolls.

Message of the CBC Coordinator

On September 23 we will begin the campaign of the Fast of Daniel, that this campaign has transformed the lives of many children and teens by receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Through this fast, they have experienced the true life with God, and this for us as educators, is glorious. Able to bring these creatures to a real experience with the living God still in an early age, it is more glorious. As Daniel (Daniel 9:10) which had fasted for 21 days, depriving himself of desirable things of his time in search of the answer he needed from God, and was granted, we are also in this same goal.

I say we because the fast of Daniel is also for those who have received the baptism with the Holy Spirit and wish to devote more to God, and this includes educators and coordinators who care for Kids and Teens. How the children and teens can participate? We will be teaching them in the classroom during meetings with children and TF Teen, to abstain from all kinds of information that does not convey the message of God as: entertainment, television, internet, games, music, films, books and any other type of content that does not refer to God for 21 days. They should engage only with things that feed their faith as: reading the Bible, the books of stories released by Unipro; watch the Church programs on television and on the internet, through Universal TV, bishop's blog Macedo and other bishops, CBC Blog, website and social networks TF Teen Church officials, in short, they should only get involved with things that come closer and closer to God. Through this way, leading them to know the true God so that they can achieve the complete transformation of their lives. May God bless you all richly and abundantly

CBC Lesson from 15 th to 21 th of September

Unit 3 -  GOD'S HIDEOUT

BIBLICAL REFERENCE
Psalms 91.1-2

PURPOSE OF THE LESSON
Teach children that God protect those who trust in Him and practice His Word.

MEMORIZE THE VERSE
“He…shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. …My God, in Him I will trust.”
(Psalm 91.2)

INTRODUCTION

Take to the class pictures of: nuclear power plants, beaches with many bathers and a street with many cars (you can find in magazines or internet).
Start by saying: "Did you know that there are some dangerous places that children cannot go? A nuclear power plant, for example (show the picture of the nuclear power plant), is a place that requires extreme care and only the adults working can stay there. But there are other places where children can go, but need to be accompanied by an adult, for example (show pictures), the street and the beach. In these places, children must be accompanied; it can be dangerous if they are all alone. Today we will learn about one place where we will be safe and secure. Let’s find out where is this place? Then let’s pay attention.

GOD’S HIDEOUT

THERE WAS a very shy boy named Luke. The kid lived in fear and that's why his friends always made fun of him. Luke was afraid of some animals, didn’t like to stay alone at any time, and getting sick was other thing that left him worried. Luke didn’t like to be fearful and therefore was very sad.
One day, the teacher was teaching at  to trust in God and the importance of not being afraid of anything. Listening to these words, Luke asked what he should do to not be afraid, because he frequently attended to   , but was still afraid of almost everything. Then the teacher replied that Psalm 91 teaches us to trust in God, it is written that God protects us from evil, because He loves us. He pounds and save the lives of those who trust in Him, leaving apart from the hazards.
Just as bird don’t allow any animal approaching the nest, with their wings covering the little birds, so God cares for His children and kept them in His special hideout only those who are faithful to Him.
Buddies, Luke was very happy with the explanation and asked the teacher what he should do to stay in God’s hideout. And the teacher replied that first he should abandon fear and trust on the Word of God.
From that day, Luke started to trust in God and became a brave boy.

CONCLUSION

Children, God wants us to trust in His Word. When we are afraid, we demonstrate a lack of confidence in Him. We should not act like Luke who was in fear of everything, because we have God as our hideout where no harm may reach because our Heavenly Father loves us and take care of us. Amen?

FUN CHAT

Take to class pictures or drawings from magazines of a transportation car of values (banks). Educator, show the pictures to the kids and ask:
"Who of you already saw a car like this? Do you know what it is? (Wait for their participation.) This vehicle is known as transportation car of values; it is a strong car that is used to transport the money from big businesses. These cars are armored, have systems of cameras and the guards that work on these cars wear bullet-proof vest to protect them. But, even with such protection, there are assaults on these cars and with such a protection it wasn’t enough to prevent this of happening. Today we learned that we are fully protected only when we are in God’s hideout, in His presence. Buddies, when we are obedient to the Word of God and when we trust Him, then it means that we are constantly close to Him and only those who know and practice the will of God are protected and saved by Him”.
Educator, teach Psalm 91 singing and then make a prayer for the class:

HE who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty
I will say to the Lord, He is my king
I will say to the Lord, He is my king
Amen!
I will say to the Lord, He is my king

I will say to the Lord, He is my king

LEARNING GOOD THINGS

ONCE UPON a time there was a girl named Annie. She was very obedient and always tried to please God. Annie had a very nice room full of toys, bicycles and dolls. His family taught her the Word of God every day.
Once, Annie´s mom decided to donate some things for an orphanage. Then she asked Annie to separate some toys, clothes, shoes that didn’t fit her anymore.
The girl was curious and asked the mother what an orphanage was and why children lived there. Her mother explained that the orphanage is a place where orphans live; they don’t have mom or dad.
When knowing that, Annie ran to her room and separated lots of things: shoes, clothes and the best dolls. She wanted children to be happy with her gift.
Since she was small, Annie knew the Word of God and learned many good things through it, so she was kind, fair and very smart. She was not selfish and she liked to divide her things with those who had none.
Annie and her mother went to the orphanage and took everything they managed to collect, Annie had also asked for donations to her friends.
Despite having delivered donations, Annie did a nice friendship card to all children. Her attitude let everyone in the orphanage happy and God also, because with that attitude she showed she really was a girl of God.

CONCLUSION

We always have to behave correctly, good attitudes please God. But just listening to His Word we can learn good things and grow in wisdom and intelligence. Annie behaved correctly and showed everyone that she was a different kind of girl.

FUN CHAT

Educator, you need two clips and two office paper. On one paper write "I practice good attitudes"; on the other "I practice bad attitudes."
Start right now by choosing two children. Fix the paper with a clip on the back of each child's blouse chosen and say, "These children represent two types of people: those who choose the right things and the one that choose the wrong things." (Read what is written on the papers).
"Now walk around the class and the kid that I say the name must choose one of the two (points to the chosen kids) to follow."
Begin the activity. Ask the children chosen to walk around the class. Educator, call some children and ask for them to walk behind of one of the kids. Observe which of them they will choose.
Conclude by saying: "We must be careful and see if we are following the wrong things and acting in the wrong way. Like our friends that invite us to follow and do things that displease God, we must be wise and choose only what pleases to our God. Annie chose to do what was right and showed everyone that she was a different because she heard and practiced the teachings of the Word of God. Who of you will only have good attitudes from now on raise your hand! ".
Educator, make a prayer with the children and then memorize the verse with the class as follows:
1. With a red marker, write (letters large and visible) the verse in a white cardboard. Then cut the cardboard into pieces. The pieces should be similar to those of a puzzle. And do not forget to prepare everything in advance.
2. Display the poster of the week and read the verse.
3. Explain the meaning of the verse.
4. Then ask children to go picking up the pieces to assemble the verse (puzzle) in the right way. Fix pieces of tape on the board or wall, until the verse is complete. Then, just memorize with the class.

Activities

MATERNAL

Playing with colors.

• Take to class: a paper bag (similar as those of the stores), a radio, CD with children's music, crayons and balloons: red, green, yellow, blue and pink.
• Get 6 boxes of shoes (can be small boxes), covered with paper in the colors: red, green, yellow, blue and pink. Fill the balloons, glue on the tip a tape and fix it in the box with its corresponding color, like a green balloon in the green box.
• Obtain images of fruits: apple (a very red apple), lemon, bananas. Vegetables according to the colors mentioned.
• Also take pictures of objects that children use as cups, combs, toothbrushes, clothes, toys, etc. Educator, these images should be colored (the same colors of the balloons already mentioned).
• Note: All materials must be prepared before class begins.
• Arrange the chairs in a circle and put the boxes in the middle. Grab all the pictures and place them inside the paper bag. Say the following to the class: "Today we’ve listen Annie’s story, a girl who liked the Book of Psalms ... Isn’t that right? Who of here remembers the color of Annie’s Bible? (Wait for their participation) Pink, well done. Annie’s Bible was pink. Now ... Let's play to learn the colors name?"
• Educator, say that one at a time they should get a picture inside of the bag. Doing so, ask: "What is its name?" Let's say he grabbed an apple, then say: "He / she grabbed an apple." The color of the apple is red, repeat after me, red. Now he / she will put the apple in the red box (show which is the box that you’re talking about).
• Always ask the kids to repeat the names of objects and colors that they refer too. Clap and show happiness with their participation. Continue the game until the end of the pictures.
