Day 15 of Daniel Fasting

When we give our tithes and offerings to God, we are making material sacrifices and He promises to open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings without measure upon our lives (Malachi3:10). Likewise, Jesus promises to those who deny themselves, saying no to their desires and do His will, that is, doing spiritual sacrifice, He promises eternal life by His side, in heaven (Matthew 16:24).

But did you know that in a passage in the Bible, Apostle Paul, show us that we should do much more? Look to what he says, used by the Spirit of God:

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.Romans 12:1

You know children, he is asking to those who decide to follow Jesus, to be a rational and holy sacrifice to please God. But what does this means? It means that we should worship God through  intelligent praises and prayers, this is what makes God happy. To worship God we do not need to run, scream or roll on the floor, this is not intelligent.

We must close our eyes, concentrate our thoughts on God, forget about everything else, just telling to Him how much we love Him, how much we adore Him, say beautiful words to Him and sing praises to Him. Now, that's a smart way of praising Him.

Friends, this way the Holy Spirit gives direction, directs and leads our praise and prayer and we can contemplate Jesus freely and naturallytalk to Him as God loves.

Stay in Faith Friends!
