TFTeen

The day I punch a boy (For TFTeen

I loved having fun in the backyard of my house. While I was playing "cooking" with my dolls, my brother was distracted with one of his colleagues. I think I was about 7 years old and my brother and his friend were around 11. Suddenly I hear a noise; I looked back and I saw that the two were on the ground "fighting". I was desperate and ran screaming:

- "Let go of my brother now!" You know what happened? They didn’t stop. I was scared to death; I even think he was going to kill Raphael (my brother). That provoked such a great revolt inside of me that I took an attitude that I would never have taken in a calm situation.

I grabbed a broom and I started to run, hitting that boy away. My revolt encouraged me to take action and protect my brother. Once I started hitting him, he left Raphael and begged me to stop!

Obviously, this was NOT the right attitude; after all, beating people is NEVER the solution to any problem.

Friends, perhaps because you are a teenager the difficulties that you go through seems impossible for you to win. Things like: sex, smoking, drinking, and wrong friendships... seem much stronger than you. You want to say "no" when friends suggest you do something wrong, but maybe that's your impression: you feel small and helpless.

Within you there is a power that can make you overcome anything, any temptation.

You do not need to accept to and do what people say is normal.

Be brave to say NO to what is wrong.

Kisses and until next Sunday.

By Raquel Ouverney.

P.S..: Actually, my brother and his friend were not fighting for real, It was just a joke guys! But one thing is certain, they never played like that in front of me ever again .. lol

CBC Lesson from 24th to 30th of March

BIBLICAL REFERENCE
Exodus 12.1-36
PURPOSE OF THE LESSON
Teach children that, for us to receive salvation, we should be obedient.

VERSE TO MEMORIZE
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3.16)

INTRODUCTION
Educator, you will make the Passover symbols in a bigger size (see the activity of Sunday – primary), paint and glue it on cardboard, cut and glue with masking tape on the board of the class. Write their meanings below each symbol. Certainly, when reaching the room, the children will be curious to know what they mean. Start showing and saying:
Children, these are the symbols of Passover. (Show them, explaining what they represent). Conclude by saying: On today’s story, I am going to tell you how came the first Passover. Pay attention, it is about to start.
Educator, attention to the meanings of the symbols:
The lamb and the cross – the lamb without defect symbolizes Jesus, who would be sent to the world to die on the cross for our sins.
Grape juice - symbolizes the blood of Christ which one day would be shed for sins.
Unleavened bread – symbolizes the holiness people should have, for they should
remember they should not worship false gods.
Bitter herbs – it is the symbol of the bitter days of slavery in Egypt.

MOSES OBEY TO GOD AND CELEBRATES PASSOVER
THE PEOPLE of God lived many years as slave in Egypt and, because of that, God sent Moses to save them. But the king of Egypt, Pharaoh, did not let the people to go away with Moses. So, God sent ten plagues to the land of Egypt. In the last plague, all the families of the people of God should anoint the doors of their houses with the blood of a lamb without defect. By doing so, they would be obeying to the command of God and would be protected from the plague.
In the last plague, the eldest children of the Egyptian died. However, the eldest
children of the people of Israel were safe from the death, for the plague did not enter in the marked house by the blood of the lamb. Moses obeyed and the people of Israel as well, and after that day God created the Passover, and every year the people of Israel gather to celebrate the deliverance from Egypt with lamb, unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
Little friends, God delivered His people and wishes mankind to be free from slavery of sin. The death of the lamb during the Passover symbolizes the death of the Lord Jesus, who is our paschal lamb. Jesus died on the cross so we could be forgiven from our sins. But He resurrected.
Jesus was arrested by soldiers and was taken to be interrogated and judged. He was punished, humiliated, hurt, and even without having done anything. They made a crown of thorns for Jesus and mocked Him. After carrying a very heavy cross, they crucified Jesus and put Him beside two thieves.
After so much suffering, He screamed out loud: “It is finished”. On Sunday, some women who were following Him went to the place where the body of Jesus was left, and when they got there, they found an opened tomb, and the body of Jesus was not there anymore. He had risen, was alive again. Yeay!

CONCLUSION
You see, little friends, how great is the love of God for us, right? So, we should do His will, for only He deserves all our love. Jesus was sacrificed to take away the sin of the world and bring us eternal life. He is the Lamb of God, amen!

FUN CHAT
Educator, start this moment by saying the following: Children, let us imagine that a very disobedient and messy boy broken the computer of the computer lab in his school. This boy was always making a mess and was so close to be suspended from school. But his brother, who is very obedient and polite, decides to take the blame, and says to the headmistress that his brother is not guilty and he accepts to be adverted by the damage of the computer.
In your opinion, from that day on, how the messy brother should treat the brother who has taken the blame? (Wait participation) He should please, respect and love him, right? He should take an effort not to cause any more problems, right? Friends, the Lord Jesus is the one who took our blame and died on the cross for us, so today we could have the right of eternal life in heavens with God. Therefore we should love the Lord Jesus with all our heart, and obey Him always, understand? Let us talk to Him now? (Educator, after the prayer, you
work the verse of the week with the children verifying if they understood the spirit of the message).

CBC Lesson from 17th to 23rd of March

BIBLICAL REFERENCE
Matthew 9.9
PURPOSE OF THE LESSON
Teach children that we should serve God with all our hearts and give good example to people.
VERSE TO MEMORIZE
“ If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised…” (1Peter 4.11)
INTRODUCTION
Take to class credit card, water, power bills, etc. Start by saying the following:
Who here has ever seen your parents separating bills to be paid? Did you know that we all pay an amount to the governing? This amount is called tax. Everybody pays taxes.
Nowadays, most of the taxes are collected with other bills. But at the time of Jesus it was not like that. There were men who worked charging taxes. These men were called publicans, or tax collector. Today’s story is about a tax collector. Let’s hear it?
MATTHEW, THE COLLECTOR WHO FOLLOWED JESUS
MATTHEW WAS worker of Rome’s governing. He worked in a tax office, for he was a tax collector. Tax office was a place where people paid their taxes. You know, friends, many collectors took advantage to overcharge people so they kept the leftover. What a bad thing, right? That’s why so many people did not like collectors.
One day, Jesus passed close to the tax office; Matthew was working when Jesus looked at him and said: “Follow me”. And Matthew abandoned the tax office and followed Jesus. Just as Matthew, everyday many people come to follow Jesus because they surrendered their lives to Him and decided to do only what pleases Him. Before following Jesus, Matthew was not wanted by the people because of his occupation, but later everything changed. He became a disciple, started to help many people by saving, freeing and healing the sick ones in the Name of Jesus. Matthew was used by God to write the Gospel of Matthew, an important book of the Bible, in which he told everything that the Lord Jesus performed here in this world. In fact, when he accepted the invitation of Jesus, Matthew became a new person, completely modified and was willing to follow and serve God. Matthew did not win anything to be a disciple. But, the joy of being with Jesus and be able to help the suffered was enough. He had the power of God in his life. How wonderful, is not it?
Nowadays, many sons and daughters of God act like Matthew: they drop everything to become servants of God. Many pastors and their wives do that, did you know? (Wait participation). They teach the Word of God and their biggest joy is to win souls to God.
Matthew was widely used by God, and Jesus also wishes to use each one of us. How many people you know that, are far away of the House of God, right? When he was a collector, Matthew was poorly regarded by the neighbors and the people who went to pay taxes for him but, after he became disciple, everything changed. How nice! Jesus chooses those people who are rejected and made them His servants.
CONCLUSION
Jesus is looking for people who wish to do His will. Little friends, if you have been doing something wrong, ask God for forgiveness and change this behavior. This way, you will be filled with the Holy Spirit and can be also a great servant of God, just as the disciple Matthew.
FUN CHAT
Educator, write on office paper the words: disobedience, lie, bad words, fights. Take to class three meters of satin ribbon, a publication of UCKG (newspaper, flysheet or magazine), the written paper and masking tape. Choose a kid to participate of the demonstration and give him/her the publication. Tie up (carefully) the ribbon around the waist of the chosen kid and hold the tip. Educator, glue with masking tape the paper on your shirt. Start by saying the following: Class, let’s read what is written here on this paper: disobedience, lie, bad words, fights. Kids, I am representing all of this written here and he/she (Point to the chosen kid) represents people who wish to serve God. Let’s say that he/she wants to evangelize … (say the name of the last kid of the room) and wants to give him/her this publication (show it) and bring him to Jesus. Let’s see if he/she will fulfill it?
Educator, ask the chosen kid to give some steps but do not let go the tip of the ribbon. He/she will certainly have difficulty to get to the end of the room. The purpose is to prevent him/her to get to the last kid. Ask him/her to give the publication, but he/she will say that cannot walk because it is stuck. Then, explain: Class, just as I am preventing him/her (Point to the chosen kid) of getting to… (Say the name of the last kid again) so sin (Point to the paper),
disobedience, lie, bad words, fights prevent people to make God’s will. How can we serve God if we are stuck to wrong things? Matthew, when accepted Jesus and became a disciple, he has left behind all the wrong things, stopped deceiving people and started to help them. So, if you have been doing something wrong, ask God to forgive you and change your behavior, getting
rid of disobedience and wrong things (educator, untie the chosen kid and ask him/her to give the publication). Do you see now? He/she is free and now can please God. Who here wants to serve God say “amen”.

ACTIVITIES
Maternal
Finger painting. We should be kind and always say the truth. Using your little fingers, paint Matthew. Educator, use gouache for this activity.

Primary
What is wrong? Matthew was no longer a tax collector and became a disciple. Circulate what is not part of the scene.

Juniors
Exercising what you learned.

CBC Lesson from 10th to 16th of March

Hello Biblical Educators this Sunday will be a special day for many reasons but it is also mother's day so don't forget to prepare the gifts for the mothers to show them how special they are.

BIBLICAL REFERENCE
Matthew 4.18-20 and Acts 3.1-10
PURPOSE OF THE LESSON
Teach children that we should bring many people to the House of God.
VERSE TO MEMORIZE
“Come, follow me…and I will send you out to fish for people.” (Matthew 4.19)
INTRODUCTION
Educator, take to class a picture of a refrigerator full of frozen fishes (easy to find in web sites). Start the introduction by asking: Who here has ever seen, in the supermarket’s refrigerator, frozen fishes like these ones? (Show the pictures). Have you thought how did they get there? (Wait participation) We all know that fishes live in the sea and there is a specific occupation for those who fish them. Do you know how are called these professionals? (Wait participation). Fishermen! That’s right. The occupation of a fisherman is very old and important because there are countries where its inhabitants feed mainly on fish. What would these people do if there were not fishermen, right? And speaking of fishermen, I am going to tell you a story about a very special fisherman. Do you want to hear? So, pay close attention.
PETER, FISHER OF MEN
BEFORE STARTING his mission here in this world, Jesus has chosen men to be
His disciples. You know, kids, before following Jesus, these men had their jobs and lived their lives with the family. Peter was one of the chosen by Jesus. He and his brother Andrew had a fishing company. Peter was a great fisherman.
It happened that, one day, Peter and his brother were fishing when Jesus passed by next them and said: “Come with me and I will teach you who to be fisher of men.” Do you know what they did? (Wait participation). They left everything behind and followed Jesus.
Peter must have thought weird the idea of fishing men. Have you already seen
anyone fishing people? (Wait participation). When Jesus spoke of fishing people He was talking about winning souls to the kingdom of God. Peter and his brother accepted that invitation; they left everything behind and became his disciples. Many people were blessed and saved through them.
One man who was born crippled used to stay at the door of the Temple begging
for the people who passed by. The Bible says that one day, Peter and John went to pray and saw the man sitting there at the door. He stretched out his hand to ask for money to the disciples. Peter asked the man to look at him. The crippled certainly thought that would gain something but he could not imagine what would happen in his life at that moment.
Then, Peter said: “I do not have any money but what I have, I give to you: by the power of the Name of Jesus Christ, from Nazareth, stand up and walk.” Little friends, that is so strong! After saying those words, Peter reached out his hand to the crippled who soon stood up. He started walking and got into the temple jumping of joy, thanking God for that great miracle. The people who were in that place were looking and asking to each other: “Is this the beggar, the crippled who asked for money at the door of the temple?”
CONCLUSION
What a great wonder God fulfilled through peter, is not it? He definitely became a true disciple of Jesus. We also should do as Peter: to speak of Jesus to our friends and lead him to the church. Who will do that say “amen”. That’s right! This way, we will be pleasing God.
FUN CHAT
Educator, take to class pictures of pastors/bishops on the altar preaching and
people evangelizing such as educators of , Youth Victory Group and evangelists (easy to find in UCKG publications). Make a poster with those pictures.
Start the fun chat by saying the following: Children, we learned on today’s story
that Jesus called Peter to be a fisher of men. And he was, indeed, an important fisher of men, you know why? Because he won many souls to the kingdom of God. The Bible says, in the book of Acts, that in one single preaching Peter was used by God in such a special way that three thousand people decided to baptize and surrender to Jesus that day. It is so strong, is not it?
Now, see these people (show the pictures slowly). They are doing like Peter.
They are fishing men, that is, evangelizing and preaching the Word of God. Little
friends, Jesus wishes to make each one of us a soul winner. So, we should strive and invite our friends, neighbors and family to come to the House of God.
Jesus is counting on every one of us, just as he counted on the disciples in the
past. If you wish to be a disciple of Jesus, pray asking Him to teach you to bring many people to church. Amen?
How about a prayer now? Then, stand up and place your hands on your hearts
and I will pray with you (educator, make a prayer asking God for all to be His disciples).
After the prayer, ask the kids to sit down and ask the following questions:
1. Who here already invited a friend to come to church? Did he/she come? How
did you feel about it?
2. Who here wishes to win many souls to Jesus?
3. Do you think it is important to speak of Jesus to people?
4. In your opinion, how does God feel when He sees a servant of Him
evangelizing?
Educator, let the kids express themselves and give opportunity for those who
wish to speak. However, control the time for not delaying other steps of the class. At the end, using the poster of the week, memorize with the kids the verse of the week.
ACTIVITIES
